Thank you, Morgan. Definitely no magic bullet. But sharing our stories is therapeutic. There is a “right” time for everyone and this “right” time looks different for many people. Some people will be willing to share immediately, others need to process longer before they can talk about it. But the more people one shares his or her story, the more the individual with the mental illness will realize that many people have a connection — one way or another, we all have had some degree of mental health issue, and that’s nothing to be ashamed of.
